When you are stressed, your muscles are more likely to tense up . This is called a psychosomatic syndrome. In theory, this seems very reasonable, but it never occurred to me that stretching could actually be more effective than any sedative. I have already mentioned that my work productivity increased. But it wasn't just because I had more energy. Stretching also helped me to calm my mind and restore a sense of well-being . This mental calm actually helped me to relax and work with a clear mind, without intrusive or negative thoughts.
